Mull Magic Wildlife Walks offer visitors to the Isle of Mull a chance to view White-tailed Eagle and Golden Eagle, during a special  ‘Eagle Walk’ in the island’s remote and desolate heartland. The raw and rugged uplands of Mull represent a truly wild experience for both eagle and walker, in a prehistoric landscape forged by fire and sculpted by ice. A variety of other wildlife may be seen and heard on this walk in Spring and Summer, including breeding wetland waders, such as Curlew, Common Sandpiper, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Ringed Plover and Snipe, as well as nesting songbirds, like Redstart, Skylark, Tree Pipit and Crossbill.

eagle-walk-2The Mull Magic ‘Eagle Walk’ commences at 10.00 am from Tobermory, where you will be picked up from your accommodation and transported to the start of the walk. Guests can be picked up en route between Tobermory and Salen by prior arrangement. Although the walk is easy graded (approximately 6 miles on flat terrain) walking boots are essential, as the track can become wet and muddy after heavy rainfall. You will also require suitable clothing (preferably waterproof) in respect of the prevailing weather conditions and a small rucksack in which to carry your lunch and any personal items. It is highly recommended that you bring binoculars, although Mull Magic carries a telescope and spare binoculars for the use of their guests.

Please note that this walk is liable to cancellation at short notice if the weather is inclement.
